About Golf Orbit

Golf Orbit reduces golf to the moment that matters: the swing. There is one button, and the whole shot lives in when you press it - a fraction early or late changes the power, and the power decides everything that follows.

After that the ball is on its own. It travels, meets whatever the course puts in its way, and picks up extra distance off the bounces, so a shot that clips the right thing at the right height can travel further than a clean strike. Every distance is recorded as you play, and the only score worth chasing is the longest drive you have managed so far.

It runs in your browser with nothing to download, in landscape, and it asks for almost nothing: one click or one tap per shot, which makes it as easy to play on a phone as on a desktop.

Tips for a longer drive

  • Watch the power, not the ball. Nothing has happened until the shot is away, and the meter is the whole game.
  • Expect the bounces. Distance is gained off the objects in the ball's path, so the shot is not over when it first lands.
  • Build on the last attempt. Every shot is a note on where the next one goes - the course rewards patience more than power.
  • Do not overswing. The longest drive is the one that stays in play, not the one that disappears into the rough.

Golf Orbit is a sports game made by TapNation and published on GameDistribution. It plays with a mouse or a touchscreen, on desktop and on mobile.

How to play

Swing: click or tap at the right moment - one button is the whole control. Power: pressing early or late changes the shot, and the power decides the distance. Bounce: the ball collects extra distance off the objects it meets on the way. Score: every shot's distance is recorded. Goal: produce the longest drive you can.
