Thread Fever

Thread Fever is a cosy knitting puzzle: the toys on screen are stitched from coloured threads, and collecting them is your job. Tap the knitted figure to unwind its threads, and the colours you gather fill the spools along the top of the screen.

Each level is a fresh tangle with a row of goals to complete, and the boosters along the bottom are there for the moment a thread refuses to come loose. It is gentle, colourful and quietly satisfying, in the way the best sorting puzzles are.

Tips for tidier threads

• Look before you tap. Threads cross and loop, and the obvious one is not always the one that frees the piece.
• Watch the spool slots. The colours along the top tell you what the level is still waiting for.
• Save the boosters. They are limited, and the tangle that beats you early is rarely the one that needed help.
• Finish one toy at a time. A piece that is completely unwound is worth more than three that are half done.
