About Space Waves

Space Waves is a one-button tunnel flyer: hold the mouse or your finger to send the ship upward and slide it along the ceiling, let go to drop, and thread it through a tunnel that keeps folding back on itself.

The score is simply how far down the tunnel you got. Every run starts gentle - a wide, lazy wave or two - and then the spikes, slopes and walls start arriving, and the game becomes the argument between one more run and the line you just set.

Tips for a longer run

  • Hold, and ride the ceiling. The ceiling is a road, not a wall - a long hold pins you against it, which is exactly what you want through long high sections.
  • Tap to cross the middle. Short presses swing the ship across the tunnel; the middle is where you buy yourself time to read the next corner.
  • Look past the nose. The tunnel shows you the shape of the next corner before you reach it - read that, not the wall you are passing.
  • Click through the tutorial once. It teaches ceiling control, then spikes, then slopes and walls - and every real run gets easier after you have seen it.

Space Waves is an arcade game made by do.Games, served here from our own copy. It runs in your browser with nothing to download, and it plays with a mouse, a keyboard or a touchscreen.

How to play

Start: press play, then click through the tutorial pages - or hit SKIP TUTORIAL and go straight to the tunnel. Steer: hold the mouse button, W, the spacebar or the up arrow to fly upward and slide along the ceiling; release to drop. Avoid: spikes, slopes and walls - crashing into them ends the run. Score: your run is measured by how far you get before the crash. Controls: pointer, keyboard (W / space / arrows) or touch - one input, all the way.
