Crescent Solitaire is a variation of the classic solitaire. There are eight piles in the middle, which must be filled from the highest card (king) down and from the lowest (ace) up. Only cards of the same suit and with a maximum distance of one value from each other may be placed on top of each other on the piles and in the ring around them. For example, a Jack of Hearts or a 9 of Hearts can be placed on a 10 of Hearts. When all cards from the edge are in the middle, the game is over.
The goal in Crescent Solitaire is to move all cards to the eight base pile slots in the center.
The bottom four base piles are placed in one suit from bottom to top (Ace, 2, 3 ... Jack, Queen, King). The top four base stacks are placed in the same suit from king to ace.
Cards of the same suit can be stacked on top of each other as long as the card value of the moved card is one greater or one less than the card on the target pile (in both directions, including ace and king).
You can move cards back and forth between base piles of a card suit, for example a 5 on the top base piles can be taken down from a 6 and placed on a 4 on the bottom base piles. For each card that lands on a base pile, you get five points.
